great moving company. guys arrived on time and were really quick and organized. it rained heavily the day of our move; they put down blankets in the doorway to not ruin our floors. Would use again!
These guys referred me to their "sister company". That company ended up damaging several pieces of furniture beyond repair, holding my stuff hostage until I signed saying everything was in good condition, and then never returned my phone calls when I left several messages trying to address the damage. We called Global Moving Systems because we heard they were good, but if they try to refer you to another company then just hang up and call someone else. I wish I had just rented a truck and done the entire move myself, it would have been far less trouble and headache.
When I initially started my search for movers in the DMV area who would do a long distance move, Global stood out with all of their 5 star reviews. My initial contact with them was via e-mail which eventually led to phone calls with their consultants Eugene and Julia regarding their opinions of the requirements of my move. I required two pick up locations and two delivery locations with a complicated exchange of a rather large 3 seat sofa.
They did a great job! They were available for a short notice appointment. They were there on time, and had my 1br apartment, including books and home canned pantry, loaded up within an hour. They were patient while I sorted out some move-in issues, and were done by noon. They offered to assist with moving boxes to the right rooms and putting together furniture, but when I declined, it was no big deal. As I've been unpacking, I see nothing broken or damaged. Highly recommend!
on the day of the move they showed up with a crew of about 5 men and two trucks to help us unload our apartment. This caught us off guard because I thought i would have time to finish up packing as they loaded the downstairs of our apartment, but they were so fast and efficient that we were unable to keep up with them. It took them approximately 45 mins to access which truck my apartment would require, and load my goods onto the truck based on whether they were going into a storage unit or our new home. They were also very patient with us as we were not fully prepared for the move, and were of great assistance in helping us take apart a few of our belongings and pack as well.
They were very competitive in pricing compared to the 3 other local companies that would do a long distance move i received quotes for. They were also the most flexible as well giving me two options which would be determined on the day of the move based on the truck size we would need to execute the move.
I have moved a lot in my life and this was the BEST movers experience by far. I moved ACROSS STATES- from Maryland > Ohio....and the team did a great job. Eric Thomas and Chris did the pick up VERY efficiently in less than 4 hours with TWO stops.....and Chris and Vova delivered it in Ohio two days later, as scheduled. Logistics was executed to perfection by them....from packing fragile materials, furniture, etc and were very cooperative and easy to work with throughout the process. I HIGHLY recommend global moving systems for cross state moves as well as within the same state. You will NOT be disappointed! Thanks also to Eugene for doing the estimate and being very prompt on communications and overall, giving us a GREAT deal for state to state move. THANKS!
After loading the truck, 3 of the movers and the smaller truck went off to another job and two of the movers drove off to meet us at our next pick up location to exchange furniture we had in manasass, VA. Then after a long drive to Va Beach for our storage unit, where the movers patiently waited for our arrival since we were caught in traffic. The movers were great in organizing the storage unit in a way that I could access my belongings easily at a later time. Finally reached our new home, where they unloaded every box to the exact room we needed with the utmost care for the cleanliness of the house and the delicacy of some of our boxes.
Eugene and his crew were all very courteous and respectful of us and our property, as well as having the utmost pride in their work.
